Northern Nevada Homes Readies New Product

If you’re looking for the peace of mind that comes with owning a brand new home, but don’t want to stray from your budget, there’s good news. Northern Nevada Homes is in the process of designing three new homes which will be made available at its communities in Reno and Carson City later this year. Prices are expected to start in the mid to upper $100,000’s.

The new designs, ranging in size from 1,300 – 1,800 square feet, are designed for small lots. To accommodate the new designs, Mountain View Estates developer Reno Quality Homes will be working with the City to obtain approvals for a revised tentative map allowing for portions of the community to accommodate the smaller product. Capital Village will not need to make any changes to accommodate the new designs.

“Ultimately, it comes down to affordability. For a long time, families with $1,000 a month budgeted for housing couldn’t even begin to think about buying a home,” said John Wolf, listing agent for Northern Nevada Homes. “With our anticipated pricing for this new product, people in that price range will not only have the opportunity to become a homeowner, they won’t be limited to the older, beat up homes that you might expect.”

Neither community has any plans to discontinue it’s existing product. The new product will supplement the plans currently offered and will be carefully blended into the communities.

The new designs are in the early design stages and Northern Nevada Homes anticipates obtaining final approvals in August.
